Boys and A Cake

Em was so excited on Feb 5th, he got his braces off. His teeth look so good!  The fake tooth that they put on his retainer looks so real you can't even tell that it isnt real.  I cant believe how grown up he is.

 

We had a beautiful spring day and so the boys took advantage of it.  Dressed in t-shirts and airsoft gear, they worked on some forts and then had an airsoft war.  I got me flower beds cleaned out and all ready for those flowers to start popping up.  But then 2 days later we were hit with more snow and 18 degree nights.  Im really ready for warm weather.

 

I made a cake for our church, 8 is great, program.  I think it turned out pretty good.

OH MY IS HE REALLY 9!!!

Ay turned 9 over the weekend. He is my smarty pants.  He is getting so good on the violin, loves school, and I am in love with his giggle.  I always get nervous when I ask this kid what kind of cake he wants (I still have nightmares of the Boba Fett Helmet cake).  This year he wanted a Disco Ball cake.  LOVED the idea and thought that a little dancing Ay on top would be perfect. 15 boys (what in the world was I thinking) at this party. They had a blast.

 Ay had a great group of kids at his party.  He got some great stuff. It was a fun party.

The boys played with nerf guns, danced, and yelled.  

 

This is my little glowing O.  He had dad tape glow sticks to his clothes.  It was so funny to watch him dance.  This little guy can bust-a-move.  I need to get some good video of him dancing.

My Little Guy

Ok, this kid is the funniest kid you will ever meet. He will keep you on your toes and if you loose track of him for 2 min...... you're in trouble.

This is what happens when you are busy and realize you have not heard a peep out of him for 10 min...... like I said QUIET is bad.  He said he was a blue panther that could climb the walls.  Then he pretended to climb the walls.  Then I noticed that everything he was touching was turning blue.  Thank goodness it was a washable crayola marker.

This was my little guy at the 1st dentist appt that he didnt freak out on.  He did great and even got to sign his name on the NO cavity board.

So that is my little guy.  He makes my life exciting thats for sure. 

 

So on another post about January, it has been unbelievably cold.  The snow has actually been on the ground for 3 weeks in places.

Couple of Cakes

I got a couple of cake jobs this month. One of them was for Ay's friend who loves Star Wars.  So I made him a carring case cake with candy legos.  Then we used some real Legos for the final decoration.  Then I got to use the PINK food coloring, YEAH!!!  I made a little princess cake.  It turned out pretty good.  I think I am better at the boy cakes though.

Christmas 2012

Life gets busier as the boys get older. BUT, I figure that a blog post only a month late is ok.  So here is a run-down of the Churchill Christmas.    On the 23rd we got together with the Kemptons for dinner, decorating cookies and a gift exchange.

I have NEVER had so many dragee's and sprinkles on my floor, but the boys had a blast so it was worth it.

 

All they really wanted to do was open presents.

Christmas morning, everything is so clean and tiddy.....

Ay got "The Witch Doctor", it made his day.  Love how he's got red eyes just like the dude on the box, if you can call it a dude. 

 

Em loves Legos and he got a camera of his very own.

 

O got a Green Machine so he can ride next to us when we all longboard.

Then after we made a HUGE mess in the living room, both sets of grandparents and Tenno/Ryan came over for breakfast.  Yummy pecan rolls, bacon, sausage, eggs and juice.

 

We had a white Christmas and even had some amazing icicles

 We had fun haging out with family for the week.  It was fun to see the Taylor kiddos, I miss them.  Little Z is adorable and Mr.C is stinkin cute with his curly hair.

 

This little girl sure loved her cousin Em.  I think Em likes her too.

Family Day

We had a great day out on the property.   Greg is really doing some nice work out there.  He's got about 6 really good tent sites (he takes the boys scouts out on campouts there). We have some tools out there so we dont have to haul them every time.  It is so fun to be away from everything.

The boys built a really cool fort this time, with some of the dead trees that are laying around.

Em made a lunch table for the boys to sit and eat at.  I thought it was very clever.

Then we went out to the lake for a bit.  It is down at least 20 feet from when we were there this summer.  So since it was too clod to play in the boys found their fun but throwing rock.

The day was beautiful, the sky was a perfect blue with not a cloud in sight. 

Can't wait to go back.
