Portland

When I was looking for things to do in Portland I stumbled across this hike.  It is an 8 mile loop in the Silver Falls National Forest.  This specific hike was called the 10 Falls Trail.
IT WAS ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL!
It is totally worth the drive that is a little over an hour.  At the start of the hike there is a great lodge with a little cafeteria.  They even have little cabins you can stay in.  Anyway this hike is a must if you want something to do.

This is the first view of the trail and it gets more and more beautiful as you go.

We started "measuring trees", this one was as big around as all 4 of us touching fingers.

The first waterfall you see literally takes your breath away.
Not only is it huge but the trail goes behind it.

So there is a group of people right next to the falls than then toward the left there is the boys.

I am defiantly going to do this hike again.
This fall you go behind as well.

O walked most of the hike.  I think Em and I took turns piggy backing him for maybe a mile and a half total.  It is a pretty easy hike.

This tree was all 4 of us plus one more me!!!
It was HUGE!

We stayed in this great hotel right across from the river.  It is fun to walk along the river and watch the draw bridges and boats.

The boys had fun with a flock of geese.

This is how O takes  a quick rest.

We walked down the docks and took a look at the Dragon Boats.  We watched them race the day before.  There was a lot of people racing.

A day at OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry), the boys had a blast here.  We also saw the IMAX movie "Hubble".

One of the coolest playgrounds ever made.

Em got ahold of the camera and took some great shots of us.  So I got one of him as well.

We had the greatest time.  Can't wait to go again next year.
Thanks ML, for some great memories.
